I've Finished!

Last Friday was my last day of student teaching. It was bitter-sweet. I am excited because it means I can now graduate, and I am that much closer to having our son, but I am also sad because I will miss the students and my mentor, Mrs. Bodily. Here I am with my mentor:

She was amazing and I learned so much from her. Teaching is a hard job!
Here are some pics of my 7th grade students:

This student reminded me of Taylor. I had to get a picture of him working!

Here are some 8th grade classes:

Of course a student had to fall off his desk on my last day...

Perhaps one of the best things was a 7th grader who wrote on the board "By Mrs. Ray." I guess we still need to work on spelling...

We had cake, donuts, and my students were so sweet and put money together to give me some baby outfits. Other kids also brought their own gifts from home. They can't wait for me to bring the baby to school and show them. Lastly, here are some pics of the last project I did with the 8th graders. They created a postcard that represented a utopia they made up. I was so proud of them!

Edit to the Previous Post

Tim brought to my attention something else that is weird about me and it bothers him.
7. I have to go to the bathroom before we leave anywhere. I am pretty sure that this habit started when I lived in London because of the lack of public restrooms in London. While walking around you never knew where the next bathroom would be. Most restaurants didn't have one, and sometimes you had to pay to use the bathroom in the tube stations. Hence, I created the habit to go to the bathroom before we left anywhere and it continues to this day. Tim thinks it is all in my mind.

Tag! I'm it!

I've been tagged by my friend Kara, so I'm supposed to write 6 weird/interesting facts about me. You be the judge of how interesting these actually are...

1. For years now, every time I watch "A Baby Story" on TLC I cry at the delivery part. So touching.

2. I feel a lot of emotion in my forearms. When I am really getting bothered by something or when I feel anxious for something, my forearms tense up.

3. At any given moment I am prepared to eat a pink frosted, sprinkled donut.

4. I didn't know "the David" statue referred to the David and Goliath story in the bible until I saw it for the first time in Italy.

5. I hate the snow. I've been in Utah winters for almost 5 years now and I still can't appreciate "how beautiful" it is. I usually gain depression pounds during the winters here and use the rest of the year to lose it.

6. I check the weather report every day. I used to have a crush on the channel 12 weatherman in AZ when I was younger.

I tag Jenny H., Jenni K., Christi, Cara, Ani, and Melissa.

Love.

I get to see my niece soon! I am so excited! I stole this pic from their blog. Kate is getting so big and cuter all the time. Tim and I look forward to our weekly iChats with Chris, Jenny, and Kate.

Bubby's 20!

My sister, Alli, turned 20 on Saturday and we were lucky enough to have so much help that we were all moved in and unpacked within 3 days...leaving time to celebrate with Alli!

Curtis and his gf Emily were in town as well. It was so fun to have family here!

Bubby had close to 20 friends at dinner. She likes to celebrate big! And the lucky waitress was my sis-in-law's best friend, Courtney.
Alli is one of the most giving girls you'll find. I cant believe she is 20! sniff, sniff.
