And the Tradition Continues

It's Suns season again. Now-more than ever-it is important to us that the Suns win since we are living in Spurs land. Here is this season's attire for Kyle: Sometimes I truly miss my little three day old baby. I just love that he would actually cuddle up at that age. Kyle's still not crawling. He can't figure out how to move that leg out from under him. Every now and then he will do a really slow army crawl. He often moves to the side instead of forward though. It's funny.   Also, HAPPY HALLOWEEN! We showed up to our ward's Trunk or Treat for a little bit on Wednesday. We all had a rough day, and Kyle was really short on sleep so we didn't stay long. I'm sure there will be more pics of his costume to come, but here's a peek:
Kyle and cute Hugh:
These are our next door neighbors:
We hope everyone has a great holiday! Tim and I have been snacking on the candy I bought to hand out :). I hope we have enough!!

Six Flags

We went to Six Flags last Saturday and had a great time. It was Kyle's first time going to a theme park. Most of the kid rides said that a child had to be "walking age" with an accompanied adult to ride. My brother Curtis walked at nine months so although Kyle doesn't even crawl, I felt he fit the "walking age" criteria. First ride was this little train. As soon as it started Kyle put on his serious face the entire time.    Then Tim took him on a mini ferris wheel. He liked this one once it started going.   How funny does Tim look in that small thing? After warming up to the carousel, Kyle loved it! He would look up at me and smile while it was going. The problem with these rides was that it took forever to actually load everyone and start so Kyle was getting bored (maybe mom too?).
Six Flags was fun and festive with the decorations.
This was the last ride Tim rode:
Kyle and I love doing things with Tim when we can. I always look forward to Saturday afternoons because I know it means we get to do some family stuff!
p.s. Thanks for the advice on the hair. I'm thinking of cutting it a little shorter as a "test run" with the hairstylist and then if i like her, maybe I'll trust her to chop it off. Oh I'm still indecisive...

To Trim or to Chop

To Trim or to chop...that is the question. My hair and I haven't been friends since, oh, nine months ago. I hate my post-pregnancy hair! It feels so much thinner and is STILL falling out. Something needs to be done. So the question is, do I keep it semi the same length (this is the longest it's been in years), do I go for the a-line bob and chop it off, or do I do something in between? Help! Some of you have known me for a long time. I would love your opinion. I would love anyone's opinion. I've felt like I've been stuck in a rut for quite some time now. Here's my length now (I'm the one on the right) haha:
Here it is a little shorter (and lighter. I miss my highlights)
Here's my hair even shorter (and me pregnant):
And I've even gone as short as the bob. The reason I'm so nervous is because I hate going to someone new to cut my hair and it's probably a record how many times i've cried -sobbed- after a new hair cut. Gracias!

Park Day

Yesterday it was really windy and our power was out for a little bit. Not the ideal, but today is the ideal! It's overcast and sweater weather AND the first time I took Kyle to the park. It was our ward's "Park Day." It's a tie between the wood chips and the swing--both made him in heaven! I had to put this one in of my friend's cute little girl. Check out those dimples! Kyle's latest hobby is to drink out of this straw cup. He loves it... a little too much. On Sunday he wet through all of his clothes!!

I'm Weird, Advice and a Happy Birthday Shout Out

(Doesn't this just make you laugh?)
1. Does this ever happen to any of you? I developed this weird problem during my pregnancy and it still continues to this day. Sometimes in the middle of the night I will awaken suddenly to feelings of nausea because I'm "so hungry." I usually keep a granola bar or something by my bed, but other times (like this weekend) Tim runs downstairs for me and finds something while I dry heave and try to keep it all in. It isn't until I take a few bites of my granola bar or a handful of tortilla chips that it goes away. I'm weird.

2. Any one have any good advice on how to keep a baby from biting? I think I asked about this before. Kyle never bites Tim but he bites me or attempts to about ten times a day. Yesterday I said, "No!" really loud and he laughed. Tim, of course, thought it was the funniest thing. I've tried hitting his mouth afterward as well. No avail.

3.  Happy Birthday to my nephew Mario! Mo is a great cousin to Kyle. When we asked him if he wanted to hold Kyle he said, "No, he's too heavy." He was happy to do it sitting down though.
Last week in AZ he showed my how old he was.
Now you're 7! We love you Mo! Have a fun day!

Phoenix Zoo

On Tuesday we went to the Phx Zoo. It was Kyle's first time at the zoo so I was excited to take him. We went with Chris, Jenny and Kate and Steven Kempton's cute family. Tim had already flown back for school :(. Some of us particularly loved the petting zoo:
And some of us did not:
Chris and Steven were so nice to help me out with Kyle. He wanted to be out of the stroller all the time.
Unless he was snacking...
I don't know where Kyle's love of animals came from. We went to my aunt's house last week and her little dog entertained him for at least 20 minutes. I, unfortunately, don't ever want a dog or it would be tempting to get one just to entertain him!! It was a great day and nice to be outside.     Kyle cracks me. He is not any closer to crawling, but loves to "walk" around and stand all the time. On the flight home I even had to stand in the aisle with him like this:

Just a *Few* More

It was such a neat day for me to be able to watch my oldest brother get married to such a beautiful girl. I can't wait to get to know Candace even better and to get a glimpse of Curbo as a married man!! haha. Here are a few more from the wedding day:

The sprinklers came on at the end, I got the worst of it. It was worth it!!
