It Shouldn't be like This

My arms were tense and I felt like I could vomit at any moment. For some reason, watching a Suns game tends to do this to me. My heart is hurting for the Suns right now after watching them lose to the dirty Spurs. Tim can hardly speak to me he is so upset. This particular ending made me recall when my dad would take me to games and I would stand up and yell, "I'm blind, I'm deaf, I want to be a ref!" Some of those calls were truly so bad.

And by the way, although we are moving to San Antonio we will NEVER, I'm talking NEVER be dirty Spurs fans. Suns fans all the way.

Happy Graduation

Tim and I both graduated on Friday. One of the best parts of graduation was when they had everyone stand up who served a mission, then those that spoke another language, those who have lived outside of the country, etc. It really showed how diverse and experienced the students were. At BYU you can get it approved to walk with a spouse so that we don't have to attend two graduations. Tim was kind and walked with my college because we figured he gets to walk again for law school. I'll have to admit, I think he stuck out being such a tall male in the middle of a bunch of girl English teachers!

We were really blessed that my mom, dad and Alli came and so did Tim's mom, Roger and Matt. We love family support!
Alli is such the fashion expert...
Family Pics:

Love this one of Roger and Kyle:
We all loved being spoiled by Grandma, but especially Kyle!
And he loved laughing and hanging out with Grandpa!

Texans

I offer my apologies to the following people:
1. Mrs. Alexander, my 4th and 5th grade teacher
Mrs. Alexander had just moved from Texas and for some reason felt the need to staple the Texas state flower to our classroom walls. Hello...didn't she know she was in AZ now? She even had a tiny Texas flag. I cried and cried to my mom about this teacher. Well, I had her again for fifth grade and this time liked her more. I am sorry for thinking you were the meanest teacher and the dumbest one for liking Texas so much.
**Please notice starting from the left, Kassidi and Megan, and second from the end Kristina!

2. Ashleigh B., my first roommate at BYU
I can remember finding out online at my dad's law firm that my random roommate was going to be from Texas! I tried to hold my tears back because I didn't want to embarrass myself in front of the professionals. We emailed back and forth a bit before school started, and my roommatae Ashleigh seemed ok.
Well, fast forward to the day my parents are moving me into the dorm. We unload my stuff. No sign of roommate yet. We leave and a little bit later we drive by the dorms and notice the light is on in my room and the blinds are pulled up. What can I see from the road? A huge Texas flag hanging from MY dorm room and a huge laminated map of Texas hanging from the wall. What are with these Texans? I immediately started crying. I hated college and it hadn't even started.
Turns out Ashleigh was the perfect roommate for me and we had a blast together. We even roomed again when I returned from London. I'm sorry for holding a grudge against your Texan ways.3. Brittany (Parker) Devine, Freshman year suitemate
Now, Brittany wasn't the most visual in displaying her Texan pride (as in no huge map on the wall), but she was the most vocal. We would fight in the Cannon Center, seriously get into arguments about Texas and AZ, because we both had such strong opinions. Her only experience with AZ was visiting her Grandma in an area with no grass, and I actually had never been to Texas. I made her roommate pose like this:
Turns out that once again, Brittany was and still is one of the funniest, kind girls I know. I'm sorry for arguing with you. But, I really can't be sorry for Kristin posing like that. It's just too funny.
(She's the blonde)
I offer my apologies to these three Texans because in my first encounters I used to feel like they could have damaged my life because they were from Texas (weird, I know), when in reality some of my fav. memories include them. And if you're still reading this, the reason I've thought so much about these Texans is because we are packing up this summer and headed to SAN ANTONIO for law school and WE are so excited! You're looking at the next Texas resident (but forever an Arizonan native).

It don't get no realer than this though dog

The Unexpected

While doing the dishes this morning, I realized that Tim's usual cereal bowl was not in the sink. I looked all around our apartment for the bowl so I could finish the dishes. Much to my surprise, I couldn't find it. I called Tim at school and asked him if he ate breakfast this morning because I couldn't find his bowl. His reply? "Yah Love, I put it away."
Miracles do happen.

The Sun is Shining!

After snowing twice this past week, (is that allowed in April, past Easter??) the sun has finally decided to make an appearance. Kyle and I went out for a walk today and we both loved it. Kyle's faces crack me up.

It's so nice to get out of the house. I made it a goal to stay outside for an hour, and it wasn't hard. In other good news, I got a job tutoring a 16yr old girl. She is so cute and we get along great. I even get to bring Kyle! I feel so blessed and lucky to get this job because my job with BYU ends this month. When one door shuts, another opens.

Is it too much?

Am I putting too many pics of Kyle up? My friend Kara tagged me to "give my baby a break from the camera." Haha. I love Kara. Here we go, ten reasons why I stink and ten reasons why I rock. This should be fun.

Ten reasons why I stink:
1. I have really good intentions of calling people just to see how they are doing, or to hang out, and I don't do it as much as I should.
2. I procrastinate!
3. Once I realized Tim could feed Kyle in the middle of the night when I give him a bottle, Tim has had a lot less peaceful nights.
4. I hate ironing. I probably wont buy something if it needs to be ironed. When Tim's mom stayed with us she said it felt like surfing while using our ironing board. haha. Who needs a nice board when it isn't used very often?
5. I fear trying new recipes that I haven't tasted before. I like my food, and if dinner doesn't turn out, we're all in trouble!
6. I get hot really easily. Tim knows to stay away if I am hot. It makes me very  unhappy.
7. I'm really good at setting goals, yet really bad at achieving them quickly. "I'll start on Monday."
8. I know nothing about finances except that you shouldn't spend a lot.
9.  I feel like I'm the most negative person I know when it comes to being pregnant. I'm  hoping for an easier pregnancy next time... and a better attitude.
10. Lived in Provo for five years and just learned how to understand how to get to somewhere like "500 East" or "600 North" last year. Grew up in AZ and still can't give you directions, or tell you the cross-streets to my parents house. It's in my Heyman genes though!!

That was semi-depressing. Ten reasons why I rock:
1. This mainly means my friends rock, but I feel like I am lucky because I've been able to keep my old friends from AZ while making new friends here. It's hard to stay in touch long distance.
2. I can count the number of boys I've kissed on one hand. I think. My memory isn't working, but I don't want to stop and think about it.
3. I have a love for helping hormonal teenagers.
4. I have an awesome husband and even cuter son. They make me so happy.
5. I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
6. I have an amazing family. I love being together with all my siblings and my perfect sister-in-law, Jenny. I have a great in-law family too.
7. I LOVE to organize things and nothing makes me happier than when I have a bag to take to D.I.
8. I'm getting good at selling things online to make some money. Best stay at home job. Just look for junk around your place.
9. I have a good sense of humor.
10.  I love to travel to new places and try new things (except food.) I feel like I'm well rounded--thanks to my parents!

I tag Jenny and Melissa.

Little Laughs

Kyle can't even take those hands out when he's laughing.

Love the Weekend

We had a great weekend. We celebrated Tim's b-day with dinner and cake. Kyle was dressed accordingly:
(thanks Pete and Ale!)
We only put 2 candles on one side and 4 on the other. Have you ever tried sticking candles in angel food cake? It's hard!

The girls. Christi, Alli and Jen:

Uncle Matt came to town for the weekend and got Kyle this jersey:

I couldn't believe how much Kyle has grown when I compared the above pic (3 months old) with the below pic, taken at 3 days old. What a true fan!

I really enjoyed conference. One of the talks I liked the best was the talk for young mothers. Last night I had one of the worst nights I have had with Kyle, so the words from that talk kept on rolling through my head. I was thinking about how it is rewarding to be a mother in moments, and then Kyle looked up at me and started smiling. It was so cute, but I rather he would have looked up at me and then dozed right off!

Happy Happy B-day!

Today is T-Ray's b-day. Happy Birthday Tim! I am so glad that I married Tim. He is such a good husband and dad. We have lots of fun together, and we have too many funny memories from high school on up. I'll save the mushy talk for our anniversary. haha. Here are some random pics I found on the comp of our birthday boy:
Skiing this winter, only a few days before becoming a dad!

Tim is goofier than most people know.

One of our first dates. Look how young we look!
Homecoming together.
Tim was my escort to my service ball. These are not wedding pics, although that is a wedding dress I'm wearing that I got off ebay!

In Park City, about to endure our first Utah winter married.
Love this pic.
And of course, Tim learning how to be a dad. "Is there something under there?"
Today is going to be a great day. Tim got work off, so we are watching conference together, eating yummy food, and we'll be spending breaks from conference playing his b-day gift... a wii!

Snoop Dogg

I've seen on a couple of blogs yesterday and today people in disbelief that Snoop Dogg is now Mormon. I just thought I'd clear it up... he's NOT Mormon. Tim and I would be estactic if he was, but this website:
 http://cnnentertainment.co.nr/2008/SHOWBIZ/Music/04/01

printed a very believable article (if you can believe Snoop as Mormon) about his recent conversion and even made it look like an article on a CNN website (when we went to the site on Tim's phone it comes up as a different URL).
Unfortunately, if you scroll all the way to the bottom it says, "You Just Got April Fooled! Snoop's Not Mormon...YET!"  It was a good laugh though!

Need I Say More?

Thanks Becky and Justin!
