Winter Wonderland

This week I will hit my due date, which I am excited about, yet my dr. predicts I'll have the baby on the 10th or 11th. I went in for my 39th week check up last week and I am not dilated, effaced, anything! I guess my belly makes a comfortable oven.
We've been trying to stay as busy as we can in this cold, wintry state. Luckily Tim and I saw some AZ friends Kassidi, Nate, and Julia, and then on Saturday night went out with our friends Tiffany and Tyler to see the SLC temple lights.
This jacket is the only one that currently fits me...and by that definition I mean that I can button two of the buttons!

It was freezing but fun! I love to see the temple and all of the lights!

A New Christmas Tradition...

Reading Luke 2, opening presents in the morning, and . . .

going to Denny's!

I wasn't in the mood to cook, and we needed to get out of the house. Unfortunately (or fortunately) the only place open was Denny's. What a memorable Christmas dinner! Surprisingly, there were some "normal" looking people there--amongst others--and the place was really busy. Don't you love that they had a special Christmas menu? Let's just say that we can't wait for our son to get here to add some excitement to this holiday break! We hope everyone had a merry Christmas!

Feeling Well

I have become a blogging queen lately! Today I had my 38 week check-up and I declined the optional "exam" so I don't really know if I have made any progress. The good news is that I am feeling better than usual so I hope I am entering new grounds!I don't think I'll be taking pictures with my face in them for awhile...
Tim takes his last final tomorrow and then we will be relaxing until the eventful day!

Katiebug

Taylor took this photo of my niece Kate and I her last day in AZ over the Thanksgiving break. When they first got to AZ, Kate would cry going to anyone but by the end of the trip she knew who loved her!! I can't wait to see Katiebug again... next time I see her she will have a new cousin to play with :).

Winter Blues

Well, today I went to the doctor and asked him how long he would "let me go" past my due date and he said January 14th!! I had to hold in the tears (which I later let flow like a river) and told him that January 14th was a shock to my system. So, instead of dwelling on that date, how it's freezing cold here, that I threw up today, and that now my right hand falls asleep multiple times during the day, I decided I would make a list of recent, positive things.

1. It wasn't as expensive to fix the side window of my car that I broke off coming out of our driveway as we had thought it would be! And the mechanic was really nice.
2. I fixed the heat.
3. We have a place to go for Christmas Eve!
4. I am a college graduate!
5. BYU is allowing me to work from home for one more semester even though I graduated.
6. Tim and I survived driving up a slick hill in the snow. I was praying really hard we wouldn't slide all the way to the edge.
7. I have wonderful family and friends who always make me laugh when I talk to them.
8. Even though it may take longer than wanted, I will get to see my baby boy soon!

T Ray and I last winter. Here's hoping you have a nice, positive day!

Christmas is Coming

While in AZ I got to attend the Down Syndrome Network Christmas Party with some of my nieces and nephews. They had a petting zoo, musical show, games, and food. It was fun to be able to spend time with the kids... although it did end up pouring rain at the end!
Mario, Adam, Gabbie, and Kaylie

I love that although I was standing right in front of her, Gabbie looks to the side when she smiles.

All he was interested in was the candy:

Baby Shower!

I've returned from my two week hiatus at home in AZ and it still feels like I didn't stay there long enough. I have yet had a vacation home where I left feeling like I got to spend enough time with my friends and family. While at home, Sister Greer and Sister Myers threw a baby shower that was to die for. I loved every minute of it!

The theme was blue, brown, and white polk-a-dots. I loved it!
I felt so fortunate to be surrounded by family and friends!

Kara, me, and Kassidi. I've grown up with these lovely ladies.

My friend Megan is due a couple days before me. Poor Megan has had to listen to me call and complain during our pregnancy!:

Since it was the weekend after Thanksgiving, my sister Alli, niece Kate, and sister-in-law Jenny were able to come!

My amazing mother and me:

I have more pictures from the part-ay, but this will do for now. Thanks everyone who took the time to come out!
