Our Turtle and a Laugh

No, we didn't get a pet turtle. I think I'm still recovering from the death of Taylor's pet, "Tommy the Turtle." Kyle, however, has learned a new skill and resembles a turtle.

It's harder to put him down for a nap now because he lifts his head up and looks around. I think it's quite funny.

         Now for the laugh... Kyle does not suck on a pacifier very well. Most of the time he gags or we have to hold it in his mouth for awhile. I mainly wish he would take it during Relief Society so I could quiet the grunts he continuously makes. When he does take the pacifier, he sucks really hard and is left looking like this:

Kyle's Friends

       I call Kyle's toys his "friends" because he smiles at them. I think it is so cute. Well, I felt that Kyle needed more toys--something to interact with-- so that I could get more done during the day. We went to Babies R Us and when I put him in this toy in the display, he started smiling instantly. I put him in other toys and didn't get the same reaction. Because I didn't want to pay full price, I went home determined to find the toy cheaper. The next morning we went to buy it from someone selling one on Craigslist. Kyle loves it!

The first day he just stared at that red parrot. Now if I can put down the camera, I'll get more done!

Easter Dinner

Somehow we lucked out this year, and there were quite a few of my relatives in Utah for Easter! My Uncle Justin and Aunt Becky live in Cali, but were in Utah and kindly had us over. Here is Kyle in his oh-so-handsome Easter outfit from Grandma Heyman.

          I was so excited that his penny loafers finally fit! Tim put pennies in them... but they fell out :( Thanks Deb and Brooke!

We had so much fun and laughed the whole night. Tim and I gave talks on the resurrection that day, so it was nice to have that over with and relax! We love being with family!

It's Pouring Rain

Oh how I am so ready for sunny days. I wish I were returning to BERMUDA (our honeymoon) where my cousin Cara is going in 9 days! The rain today made me think of these pics. I can't believe these are from almost 2 years ago! Time flies!
